Sweet History – Honey & Mead Quiz

Who made the first mead? We’ll probably never know. The most likely theory says nature did it — honey fermented in a tree hollow, and the first brave soul who tasted it and survived became a pioneer. Since then, humanity hasn’t let go of mead — in the Middle Ages it flowed freely, sometimes even over the rim of the goblet.

Now it’s your turn: if you answer all 10 questions correctly, you’re better than all of us combined and deserve the title “King of the Beehive” 👑.

How Elisa Mead Is Made

Elisa mead has been crafted using a family recipe since 1973. It’s made exclusively using the cold method from high-quality Czech honey. After full fermentation, it matures in deep, climate-controlled cellars. Final filtration is done with modern equipment, giving it a crystal-clear look and sparkle. Elisa mead is made only from Czech honey, with no added sugar and no fortification.

Soon we’ll display more photos on this page and describe our mead production in detail.
